How to Return Merchandise
RETURN POLICY
The Deer Gear Store is committed to providing products of high quality and value, and we back this commitment with a satisfaction guarantee. If you purchase an item from us that, for any reason, fails to give complete satisfaction, you may return it to us for an exchange or full refund so long as it is new and unused and in its original packaging.
The following products may NOT be returned:
1. Used merchandise.
2. Special order items.
This guarantee must be exercised within thirty (30) days of your receipt of the merchandise. All return shipping charges must be prepaid (we will not accept return items shipped to us C.O.D.)
Returns and exchanges are accepted only for items purchased from The Deer Gear Store. Refunds will be applied based on the original method of payment.
The Deer Gear Store's return policy:
- We will take returns on all in-stock items up to thirty (30) days of purchase date. In-stock items will be credited for a full return minus shipping costs.
- All items must be in the original package and in the condition in which they were received.
- A copy of the invoice MUST accompany the return.
- Freight charges will not be refunded or paid by The Deer Gear Store unless prior approval has been granted due to an error in the order.
- If purchasing an item as a gift, please open and inspect your merchandise as soon as your receive it.
DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
Any defective product may be returned within thirty (30) days for a replacement or refund.
SHORTAGES
Many orders ship in multiple cartons and may arrive days apart, so check your packing slip before notifying us to report a shortage. All claims for shortages must be made with the carrier within ten (10) days of the invoice.
DAMAGED GOODS
If an item reaches you in damaged condition, save the shipping carton and notify The Deer Gear Store at once. Please do not return damaged or broken merchandise to us unless you receive our instructions to do so. This is necessary so that you do not lose your right to file a claim. All claims for damaged goods must be made with the carrier within ten (10) days of the invoice date.
DUTIES AND TAXES
To make things as simple as possible for you, we'll handle importing requirements. We'll bill you for the duty and applicable HST (15%, for new Brunswick, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia), GST (all other provinces) and PST due on your order. By placing your order, you authorize Deer Gear to appoint a Canadian customs broker to obtain customs clearance for your merchandise and remit applicable duty and taxes on your behalf to Revenue Canada.
Which items are subject to duty?
Deer Gear items that are manufactured in the US or Canada are not assessed duty. Items that are imported or made in any other country will be assessed duty based on the country of origin.
If you order by phone, we'll figure the duty for you. If you order by mail or fax, call us toll-free at 877.328.5514 and we'll provide you the duty rate for each item you select.
HOW TO RETURN MERCHANDISE
Products may be returned to The Deer Gear Store. To return an item to us we encourage you to re-use your original shipping carton. Note the reason for your return and enclose a copy of your invoice. Wrap the package securely and send it to the following address:
